I’ve decided to do a series of posts over the next little while with ideas and prompts to encourage you to continue to write and be creative while we all move through these strange times. Here’s the first:
I’ve been thinking a lot recently about the concept of ‘diversity.’ It’s a word that is used a lot, and maybe not examined as much as it should be. Some members of our society seem to think that we should all be the same, look the same, act the same – but what would the world be like if we were all the same? What would your life be like if you never met anyone who was different from you?
Our environment needs diversity too – one of the reasons we fight against climate change is to protect the rich diversity of life in the world around us, without which our lives aren’t possible.
Have a think about the value of diversity in your world.
