Come the new school term, Mariana Byrne will be going into fifth year in Abbey Community College. Amongst her interests is the writing of poetry, and she was recently a runner-up in the TrĂ³caire themed poetry competition, It's Up to Us, and her poem was published in the competition chapbook. She also enjoys music, and plays piano and ukulele. Mariana hopes to pursue a career in journalism after school.
